Manual of Style

I had mentioned a style guide to Falcorian and he thought it was a good idea. The idea has been floating around for a while so I am starting the ball rolling. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions on what should or should not be included. Feel free to jump in and help create a dialog that will make our wiki articles better.

I feel the spelling should be assumed to be British as is found in the original game. This has a parallel in other areas such as using American English 'lightsaber' rather than 'lightsabre' which would be the English equivalent.--Exodite 11:59, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

As I stated in the article, this will always be a bone of contention. Games Workshop also publishes in the United States and their products are in US English. One point I would make is that the Wiki is on a US server and their spell-check library is US English. One would hope that more people who post here would use the tool. I can accept authors using the spelling of the country they live in.

On an off topic note that does not apply to you. I wish more would take the time to learn the basics of English of either country. It seems some have not mastered the skill on conjugation. A case in point is this sentence. The Emperor's Imaginary Examples are a Space Marine chapter. They mistake the plural in the name "Examples" to mean it should be "are" instead of the singular "is", when referring to a singular chapter. It would be a wonderful thing is some could refrain from the use of run-on sentences.
