Vistenza Vyatt, formally Vistenza Janus Vyatt ab Aram af Koronus, is an Imperial noble and vassal of House von Valancius who serves as the planetary governor and Imperial Commander of the Agri-world of Janus of the von Valancius Protectorate in the Koronus Expanse of the Segmentum Obscurus.
She was appointed to her position by Lord Captain Theodora von Valancius but came from an old Imperial noble family that had long served the von Valancius dynasty.
History[]
Vistenza Vyatt is a bright representative of the Imperial nobility, who serves the von Valancius Rogue Trader dynasty as the planetary governor of the Agri-world of Janus, the highly profitable jewel of House von Valancius' trade empire in the Koronus Expanse. She definitely knew how to make an impression upon her feudal lord, and under her eye, Janus' operations certainly functioned quite...efficiently. Perhaps too efficiently, as Vyatt's harsh treatment of the local farming population in an attempt to keep productivity and efficiency as high as possible resulted in the outbreak of a rebellion against von Valancius rule.
The rebellion was ultimately put down by the new Rogue Trader of House von Valancius after they and their retinue arrived at Janus to reintegrate it fully into the von Valancius Protectorate's economy following a series of Warp storms that had disrupted Warp routes across the Koronus Expanse. It is unknown how the Rogue Trader resolved the rebellion, either turning against their tyrannical planetary governor and instituting reforms to make their labourers' lives better, or siding with Vyatt and suppressing the rebellion once and for all an an affront to the God-Emperor's divinely ordained regime.
Vyatt employed the Craftworld Aeldari Ranger Yrliet Lanaevyss of Craftworld Crudarach as a sharpshooter against the rebels, claiming that she was an unusually attractive "mutant" so that she might be employed without running afoul of the strictures of the Imperial Creed that forbid all interaction with xenos species. Yrliet had come to Janus through the still-active Webway portal present on the world as she sought to discover the current location of her missing craftworld. The events on Janus would lead Yrliet to become part of the retinue of the von Valancius Rogue Trader.
