Virtues of the Sons is a short story published in the Horus Heresy Series. Virtues of the Sons was originally published simultaneously as a part of the anthology novella Death and Defiance and as a stand-alone E-Book. It was later released as an audiobook (MP3) along with its prequel Sins of the Father. It is now also included in the War Without End anthology novel.

Synopsis

Nassir Amit, the "Flesh Tearer", a Captain of the Blood Angels, duels the vicious gladiator Khârn, and Azkaellon of the Sanguinary Guard faces Lucius, the Emperor's Children swordsman, as Sanguinius' chosen sons explore the twin aspects of their nature.
