Why are things spelt so weird here?

I never really thoought about until now but why are some things spelt so weird, like armor being armour. Is it just to express how the Imperium speaks in Gothic? Someone please explain.

RE: Spelling

Greetings Adept Yourbestfriend77,

Might I suggest your read over the following important link:

The native spell checker on this wiki is keyed to the spelling used by American English. When in doubt refer to it. It is better to spell check using it than not spell checking at all. However, in keeping with its source material which is proudly British in language and sensibilities, the Warhammer 40k Wiki uses British English spelling as its default in most articles. American English spelling is an acceptable alternative, but British English is the preferred format. Too many times people never look for errors before posting an article, and this wiki aims to hold its editors to the highest possible standards of grammar, spelling and syntax. As such, all new articles will be proofread, edited and in certain cases rewritten by administrator fiat to meet the wiki's formatting and quality standards.

Hope this clear things up! Oh, and by the way, be sure to sign your comments on Talk Pages by doing the following - just type out the following after your comments:

P.S. And when referring to the Emperor, the reason we capitalize "He" or "Himself" is do to his overall importance, just as they do in all published GW WH40K material.

So 1. European/ Original english, got it, 2. Emperor is to be capitalized when reffered to as " He " or " Himself ", understood... 3. Where the two articles go? whhere they deleted for not being of high enough quality?Yourbestfriend77 (talk) 12:31, February 24, 2016 (UTC)yourbestfriend77

Angry Marines

Greetings Adept Yourbestfriend77,

First of all, as I explained at the top of the article of the Pictorial List of Space Marine Chapters (A-L), it is for CANON ONLY Chapters..not Fanon. But, if you would like some Angry Marines, let me point you to this link:

Hopefully this will satisfy your appetite for everything Angry! Ave Imperator!
