Changes: Typhon Primaris

Typhon burns. Once lush with life the fleets of the Ordo Malleus have reduced it to a molten inferno.

Typhon Primaris was a jungle-covered Imperial Feral World found in the Sub-sector Aurelia of the Korianis Sector and was one of the primary recruiting grounds for the Blood Ravens Space Marines Chapter. Its population primarily consisted of a small number of human settlements and several klanz of Feral Orks. During the events of Dawn of War II in the late 41st Millennium an Eldar Warp Spider Exarch was provoking the Orks to attack Imperial outposts and villages, and the Space Marines of the Blood Ravens Chapter intervened. However, unknown to them, Typhon Primaris had been infested with Tyranid Genestealers and some plants and animals became mutated by the Tyranid organisms, killing the human settlers' livestock. Soon after, a Tyranid splinter of Hive Fleet Leviathan appeared over the lush planet, threatening to engulf the entire star system, though this Hive Fleet was defeated by the Blood Ravens in the course of the conflict known to that Chapter as the First Aurelian Crusade. A year later the sector once again fell under attack, a chaos warband of the Black Legion led by chaos warlord Araghast the Pillager, this led to the second Aurelian Crusade in which the blood Raven's current chapter master Gabriel Angelos uncovered evidence damning Azariah Kyras, chapter Master and Chief Librarian of the blood Ravens at the time, as a heretic.A decade of unrelenting conflict later, and the alarming growth of chaotic incursions within the wayward sector, coupled with the growing suspicion of the Blood Raven corruption, the Inquisition's Ordo Malleus issued an Exterminatus Order on the entire sub-sector.With the efforts of loyalist Blood Ravens Mutunous operations, spearheaded by captain Apollo Diomedes of the Honor Guard, events which would come to be known as the Third Aurelian crusade, and Puritan Inquisitor Adrastia, an old friend of Gabrielo Angelos, the sector was spared this mass purification, this however came too late for Typhon, who had already been sentenced by the holy Inquisition leaving it a barren, burning Dead World.
