Hello Montonius. First of all, I want to thank you for maintaining this page. The Lexicanum is simply too restrictive for my likings.
Anyway, I was wondering if we could try to use mathematics and averages to estimate certain fluff statistics that aren't given, such as the population of the Imperium. I know, the official canon is that the population is too big to count, but the 40k fluff lacks too many given, concrete statistics in my mind. Anyhow, I was thinking that if we took the rough estimate of Imperial-controlled planets, compared the ratio of known hive worlds to known agriworlds to feral-worlds, looked at the average population of each of those categories, etc. etc. etc....
..........we could generate an estimate minimum population for the Imperium of Man. This could also probably be applied to other areas as well, such as the size of the Tau Empire.
