    • When Danny finishes revising his character bio, are we clear to post character intros?

        Loading editor
    • Yes of course, according to the starting plot that I wrote down that is...

        Loading editor
    • He sure is taking a while, I hope it's a good bio.

        Loading editor
    • I sure hope that he checked the messages that we've left for him in the recruitment thread...

        Loading editor
    • Yes I have. Sorry about the wait, but I kinda had writers block for a while. I'll be posting it soon though...

And I've changed the name to Sefarius Vorst

        Loading editor
    • Excellent name Danny, really fits the character's first name and the theme. No problem, take your time since a good Rogue Trader character bio will really start off the RP.

        Loading editor
    • Dam, Danny sure is busy... I hope that he will present us with his character's profile soon. Hope it will be good. While I am trying to find someone for the role of the Astropath, no body likes to be an Astropath! Why not?! This psyker is capable of more than just sending messages through the warp! The can freaking freeze people! With their cool Freezing Void! Ah...

I also hope that Danny won't drop out like Amy did...

        Loading editor
    • Heck if I had not chosen a Missionary, I'd have chosen an Astropath, it's a nice role, but I guess people are just afraid to RP as one considering it isn't an easy role.

        Loading editor
    • It ok LOS, take your time reading the PDF. We still have time until Danny replies

        Loading editor
    • Sanguinior, I think that it will be more reasonable if Morris will employ his own agents to spy on various targets. This way Morris won't be in charge of running around the place, trying to stalk the people.

        Loading editor
    • I agree and i was thinking the same thing, he can have few agents, some of them would be on some planets we land on and some would acompany him and the rest of the crew on our journey. Of course if that is okay with you.

        Loading editor
    • Of course, it is totally ok with me. Cantac will be the eyes and the ears of Sefarius, while at the same time, Cantac will manage the supplies of the Ship.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but it is not as if you will already have some agents on the planet, right? You can spread them if you want to gather a data about the planet's flora and fauna, and about it's people and technology.

Also, I will control those agents, and let you know what they see and hear.

        Loading editor
    • Yup those are the main roles for Cantac

Well since we don't know when and where we will dock and since wee are going into unknown parts of space it seems a bit unlogical for Cantac to have spys and agents on those planets.

Actually i was counting on that Zixis since you are the Game Master and only you know what they can see and hear.

    • Hey Master, did you see the Rogue Trader: Faith and Coin Rulebook? It has all the info you need to know about the Missionaries.

    • No problem! leave me the message. I really need you guys to "get into the character". Maybe Danny's absence did bring something useful after all!

        Loading editor
    • When Danny gets back, he's going to need the most attention to breaking him into a character, since he'll be the main character, he had better know how to play!

        Loading editor
    • Ok! That's it! I've waited for too long! Unfortunately, I will be taking the role of the Rogue Trader, while at the same time being the GM (which will be totally unfair and less surprising, but there is just no other option).

We have waited too long for this! People fell asleep while waiting for this RP! So I will be starting it tomorrow.

I will post character's profile today. And start the RP tomorrow. Hope that the crew has not disappeared yet...

Oh, and theshowdown told me that he cannot participate... for some reason, so we will be without a Navigator. Now our travel through the warp will be much more adventurous...

        Loading editor
    • HMM, conflicted on this, on one hand disappointed that Danny couldnt join and on the other, excited that the RP's gonna start finally. The good old days of everyone online and active RPing is gone with the wind.

        Loading editor
    • Okay finally starting, and i think our adventure just got from dangerous to mission impossible.

Just kidding i think this will be even more fun without Navigator, as well as more dangerouse.

        Loading editor
    • I'm still here guys... I was actually posting the profile later today...

        Loading editor
    • Oh my god! Finally! Come on Danny! Where is your character's profile?!

        Loading editor
    • I was about to write my own Rogue Trader profile, good thing that I've checked this thread! I hope that you used all this time to make a good character Danny...

        Loading editor
    • I redid a good bit, and releasized I wrote TOO much... it also kinda devolves near the end... just as a warning. If its no good, I've got a back-up if neccessary.

I just need to finish the ship bio and I'll post it.

        Loading editor
    • Ok... can't wait to read about your character! And the ship... I think...

        Loading editor
    • We need to do a role-call to make sure everyone is still here, ZiXIS how many people are in the RP? and who exactly since I've forgotten. They're not posting here.

(P.S.S. Ship is at the end)

      Bio:

Sefarius Vorst is among the few men in the galaxy one can truly depend on. His successes outweighing his failures by several tons, Sefarius will always finish what he starts, but always with the cost in mind. He will sometimes put his troop's lives over the mission, but only if it a complete waste of life and resources. Most regiments under his command saw very few casualties.

Much more outgoing than most generals of the imperium are, he usually stayed as close to the battlefield as he could, mainly to encourage his forces and bolster their resolve. He has fought on more than one occasion because of this, but most incidents like that are welcome to him.

Several would describe his personality as: "a stern man with a humor"

(I'll let the rest of his personality play out in the RP.

In combat, Vorst will dual wield his highly modified las pistol, Miss 49, in his right hand, and the Hell pistol his old colonel used in his left. He is also proficient in melee combat, when necessary, and carries a poisoned knife in a hidden boot sheath.

      History:

"Its funny how answer's Change over time. Passionate outbursts of 'I'm innocent!' or 'I shouldn't be here' change to 'Does it even matter?'. And that is the answer I give to you, because the Sefarius Vorst before you was born in the 49th Penal legion, and thats all anyone should know."- General Sefarius Vorst after being asked in an interview about who he was before his time in the legion...

Sefarius Vorst was born on the hive world of Heramon, as the 2nd son and heir of Javarius Vorst, the planetary governor. A very naive and kind man in his youth, he fully embraced the notions of honor, justice, and that a ruler should care for his people, which he did for most of his youth. His actions and mentality towards the people earned him their love and admiration, along with great political sway in the planet's political system, much to the admiration of his father and peers, and the ire of his brother, Everon Vorst and the nobility. But any backlash because of these were minor at best, until Sefarius's 22nd birthday. On that day, Heramon saw its first ork invasion. Whilst it was generally considered a minor ork force (Numbering in around 140,000 in total), it was enough to send most of the nobility, including his own brother, running. Most of the 'generals' of the PDF had run off as well, and Javarius himself had sunk into a depression, convinced the planet was doomed. Seemingly the only person to look to, Sefarius rose to the bat, Rallying his people and the PDF to stay and fight. With an Imperial response force possibly months away, he prepared for a long, defensive campaign, working closely with Burt Leedorando, one of the last remaining PDF commander's and a former lieutenant in the imperial guard, the two of them lead the PDF to successfully defend against the ork onslaught for four months, until the imperial guard arrived to clean up the rest. After everything was said and done, and peace finally restored, Javarius would regain himself and announce that he would soon step down as planetary governor, and that it would be sefarius that would take his place. Whilst the populace cheered, his brother was outraged. Was he not the FIRST son? Was it not HIS reward for breathing! The flames of rage burned bright within him, and, like thousands (if not millions) before him, the sinister gears of a plot would begin to turn. Several weeks after the announcement Sefarius, His father, Burt, and several attendants were leaving for a party in Sefarius's honor. Most of them had already entered the limo save Sefarius, and his was about the to enter, a click, a flash, and a large bout of flame are the last things sefarius see's before his vision turns black.

When he next woke up, Sefarius would find himself in a small metal cell. Slowly waking up, he tried to remember what happened, until he made a few discoveries. His long, flowing hair had been shaved off completely, their were numbers pressed into his head... but what he found horrific was that his face felt different. attempting to get off the cot, he felt something hard under him. Getting off, he found a dataslate with only a single message, addressed to him.

      "Dear Sef-

You tried to take everything from me, the key word being tried. At large, Heramon believes you, your father, and General Burt are dead, and with your new look, There's not a single person who doesn't believe that. It would be much simpler, and easier to have you killed, but when I saw you had survived the blast, I couldn't resist doing this. So... Nameless Assassin of the Great Sefarius Vorst, I do hope you enjoy your time with the legion, Those 'Skills' of yours should prove very useful to the imperium.

          Goodbye Sef-"

Those were the final words Sefarius would ever hear about his old life.

The 49th Penal legion was formed by Colonel Adrick Resolak. Resolak formed the legion in an attempt to drain imperial prisons and Penal colonies by having prisoners "Do something actually worthwhile to the imperium". Namely, mass drafting around 5000 unlucky prisoners, and fielding them before the regular guard. It was this legion that Sefarius was dropped into, right before the legion's first ever battle.

In the early months, Sefarius would cling to his morals and beliefs, as they were all he had left. It worked for a time, until the 49th legion arrived at its first campaign, Suppressing the rebellion of Merhixis. A backwater planet most people never heard of, Resolak saw it as the perfect place to test his new legion, and had them deployed as the vanguard of the suppression forces. As the force attempted to land and disembark, the legion would find itself under attack by rebel forces almost immediately, as if waiting for them. In the confusion, sefarius had lost his las carbine, and cowered in a large crater, until looking up, he could see a figure, obscured by some smoke, at first didn't shoot, either paralyzed in fear or something else, no one would know, but when a las bolt flashed by him, searing the tips of his hair, he, either in panic or fear, fired his las pistol. Over in an instant, the man's body fell into the crater, a large, sizzling black hole in his head. Sefarius would throw up at the sight, before the sounds of the battle reached him. Looking down at his pistol, he finally began to understand. All his life he had lived for 'his people', but what did that really mean? He had always thought it was putting out polices that favored all, about making great speeches, and by being 'strong in a time of war', but perhaps it meant nothing like that. "Vivere Pro Popilo" He would say in a low breath, but as the sound of the battle returned to his ears, he shook himself from his deeper thought and reminded himself of where he was. Climbing out of the crater, he was able to gather several others and, using what little he did know, lead them back to the legion, alive and well. In the end, the imperium was victorious, and the planet brought back into the imperium. As for the 49th, while it may have lost almost 40% of all operational forces, it succeeded in suppressing the main rebel force. The colonel, delighted by the news, began to actually organize the legion, looking over all the survivors, looking for capable squad commanders. Meanwhile, sefarius would continue his line of thought. He began to believe that "To live for the people." Would mean to live for those that followed you, to protect them, to fight alongside them, to lead them. This would be the creed that would define and shape him from that moment on. About an hour after he came to that conclusion, he was called to meet the colonel. Resolak was quite surprised by Vorst's lithe appearance, as it was reported he had lead several men, including a rather famed murderer, back to the legion through the battle. After a long conversation, Resolak made sefarius a sergeant, and believed he wouldn't stay at that position for long. Sefarius would exit the colonel's office as a changed man, for Sefarius the Noble was dead in a some planet's crater, and this man's tale would finally begin.

Over the Following years, Sefarius would prove himself a rather capable leader. He learned hard lessons every battle as the legion fought across the sector in the most dire of battles. From Ork infested jungles to tyranid besieged worlds, and once, a necron tomb world. Eventually, he was promoted to lieutenant, and after a few more years, served as a major for the legion. Over those years, Sefarius and Resolak would remain close, learning things from each other and forming a bond. Of course, all things eventually end, and their end came on Versaili II. A planet taken by the orks, while under siege by chaos forces. The imperium had come to try and kill two birds with one stone... at least in theory. At first, it went well. Almost all chaos forces were concentrated in space, while the imperium was able to form a base on the ground. The ork warboss, Daggatooth, attempted an assault upon the imperial position. Both Sefarius and Resolak himself were on the field that day, and were caught in the battle. It went well at first, that is, until fire rained from the skies. Throughout the entire field, orbital lance batteries rained upon both ork and guard alike. Sefarius, knocked out in the initial hit, would wake up to the sounds of battle, only much closer to his position, and with a lot more laughter. Climbing out of the trenches he would see the hulking outline of a space marine, as wells as others in the distance, only their armor looked to have... spikes. As he stood up, still dazed, the Chaos marine would finished off his foe, and turned towards Vorst. A long, toothy smile spread across the accursed flesh of the fallen marines face. Realizing the gravity of the situation a little too late, Sefarius dove to the left, only to grab by his head. The Marine laughed, holding him by the head, squeezing his head slightly, before pushing his thumb into his eye. The pain shot through Sefarius, and he screamed out, wriggling like a fish out of water. Continuing to laugh the marine prepared to crush the man's head, until the sound of a chainsword reached his ear, pulling his out his own sword to parry. Through the pain, Sefarius saw Colonel Resolak, slashing at the giant, only for a large red stain to grace his armor. As laughter filled the air as the man fell, Sefarius pulled his las pistol, pushed the barrel against the marines head and fired.

"As much as I hate the place (Versaili II), I suppose that little clusterfrak got me to where I am today...

Sefarius would regain consciousness several weeks later, a new bionic eye in his socket, and a full pardon next to his bed. Piecing together what happened, it would appear that even though both the orks and chaos forces lost their respective leaders, the war for Vesaili had gone poorly for the imperium. With their forces running dry and no hope of victory, the general in charge decided to pull his forces from the planet. The retreat was slow, and their were several regiments that had yet to be evacuated. As for the 49th, Every survivor of the legion had been pardoned, and then immediately drafted into the newly formed 1st Vesaili Regiment, formed from several decimated regiments, and the general had promoted Sefarius to colonel. After another week of holding the fort, It was finally time for their departure. Despite the arrival of fresh ork and chaos fleets, the remaining Imperial forces would retreat successfully, with the sacrifice of a battlecruiser and several escorts.

After the Vesaili II incident, Sefarius had would spend several weeks keeping his new regiment from killing itself overnight. As the 1st Vesaili had been formed out of 10 depleted regiments, this was easier said than done.Disputes, struggles, and full on riots became the norm. While it took time, sefarius was able to restore order within his new regiment on his own, Earning him the nickname "King". From here, he would lead his new regiment to glory many times.

Several years later, Sefarius had been promoted to General, and following 7 successful campaigns, launched a new campaign to liberate the Vesaili sub-sector (Vesaili I,II, and III) from the orks and chaos forces still vying for control, emerging victories in half a year. Following this glorious victory, Sefarius was offered a warrant of trade...

      Ship: Regis Gambit

      Ship weapons:

      2 Lance Turrets (top)

12 Marco Guns (6 either side)

8 Attack Craft Hangers (4 either side)

      6 torpedo tubes

      Ship history:

During the retreat from Versaili II, sefarius witnessed the final moments of the Duty and Diligence, an overlord class Battle-cruiser. He watched as the cruiser took hit after hit, fired round after round, destroyed ship after ship, all so that the troopship he was on could get away. Just before they slipped into the warp, sefarius would watch the ship's command bridge struck dead on with a torpedo, before the familiar form of warp travel enveloped the ship.

Years later, when he returned to versaili II, one of the wrecks among the massive graveyard was in fact the Duty and Diligence, mostly intact. One of the first things he did was recover the wreck, and have it taken back to a shipyard. After accepting the warrant of Trade and becoming a rouge trader, he would inquire about the vessel. The ship had been repaired, but it hadn't been assigned a captain or crew yet, which was perfect in this case...

Renamed the Regis Gambit, king would have some small modifications done to it, but overall kept it just the way it was.

    • No good huh?

    • Actually, it is pretty good. There are however some grammar mistakes, but I understand that they came from an over-exhaustion writing. Don't write so much info in one post next time ok? (though I guess that this is all what you were writing for the past 12 days, yes?).

And don't forget that when you write someone's name, it must be with a big letter.

Also, when you done writing a message, make sure that the grammar is right, ok? I won't count this one since it is your character's bio.

Overall, it is a good character profile. There is just one thing, the bionic eye that Sefarius has is actually a digital-weapon. Only those that have ties with the Inquisition can have that kind of weapon, and Sefarius is not part of it. So I will ask you to erase the digital weapon. You can keep the eye patch though.

After that, go to the rp and start it. Follow the mini-plot that I have left you in the bottom of the post I've created.

I also want to warn everyone else to read the rules that I wrote in the rp thread. Read them and join the rp when Danny makes his move. Have fun!

    • Also, Danny, while you were gone, I have found someone who could play as the Astropath. This is Eye of Anutk.

Guys, I will also have my own character, you will discover something knew about him in every message of the RP. He will not have his own profile. Don't worry, everything will be fare.

Good luck surviving... I have a special survival situation for the whole crew... Hehehe... but the first part will be concentrated on you guys getting to know each other. Rivalry, honour, comradeship, deception and etc.. this is what will happen in the first part. The bond that you will create amongst your characters will determine the outcomes of other adventures.

If I will be displeased with something, then I will send you a private message to fix it.

    • Thats great, although as for the digi weapon, I would point towards commissar Yarrick having one, but I'll change it to a sensor than.

Also, should I start with a speech to the crew as a first post or do I wait?

    • Don't wait, start the speech, and after that we will wait for everyone to react.

        Loading editor
    • Try to talk about a real problems that you may face, and don't just give them an oratory. Adress them by their names. And just try to look like a leader. That's it...

    • Uh... when I said 'crew' I meant all 100,000...

Also, perhapes we should all repost our profiles here at the end, just for conveience...

    • Looks like we're ready to start the RP then right? Danny you start off the RP thread with the beginning of your character's actions after leaving the port, after that everyone else will introduce their characters.

        Loading editor
    • Danny, like I wrote at the bottom of the rp thread. The Rogue Trader is in his chamber right now. Your retinues have gathered in your chamber, you will only adress them.

And yes, you can place all your character profiles here.

Anutk, the link to the rp is at the top of this thread. But let Danny start first.

You will not exactly "introduce" your characters, since you are already a crew. You will just react to what the Rogue Trader will say, some of you will over think the Trader's words and respond to his speech, and may start a conversation with the Rogue Trader and the other members of his retinues.

This is not the beginning when the Rogue Trader gets to know the crew (and by the crew I mean his retinues) because he knows them since the first day he has received his ship and the Warrent of Trade. And this is not that begging. Our RP starts some time after he became a Rogue Trader, so from here on your characters will be develop themselves rather than being born.

    • Ok Sanguinior, there are just some couple of things that I want you to change. I see Morris as a man of wits, rather than a militant man, because he is a steward, see? I just cannot imagine him charging bravely into a battlefield. He looks more like a man who will try to find a short cut, rather than face the problem onwards.

So how about you keep the heavy pistol, the data slate and the multi key. And throw everything else away, ok? Don't worry about the armour, wearing an armour will not mean that you will be more protected. You will face enemies that will easily tear an armoured infantry.

About your melee weapon, like I said, I see Morris as a man of wits. So let's give Morris an adamantium master-crafted staff that will contain a dagger, the dagger will come in form of the staff's handle, and you will be able to use it as a hidden weapon. ok?

Also, the social and combat skills list will be kind of a useless thing in this RP, but you can keep it if you want.

Therefore, he had been transported to Port Wander and boarded the Rogue Trader's vessel, ready to spread the hallowed word of the Imperial creed to the planets which Vorst and his crew would encounter.

    • I can't wait for this to start. I'll post up my character bio tomorrow ZiXIS as I can't quite find time now to repost and make some alterations (which I suspect will be most necessary). I want to get it right so I'll put it up then.

    • Name: Matthias Drax

      Gender: Male

Age: 40s (the rest of the crew thinks)

      Class: Explorator

Bionics: Right eye is a sensor, left arm is bionic, Pernitus-Pattern Servo Harness, bionic respiratory system.

Personal Servitors: three, two maintenance one a personal guard armed with a twin linked lasguns system.

Bio: Matthias's time before entering into the Mechanics is totally hidden from all outside the Cult Mechanics. The young adept was a fast learner from all accounts and at times dangerously fascinated by xenos technology and potential modifications to already existing human tech. His conduct was however limited to the strict patterns expected. Once he became a techpriest things changed however. He was punished for minor tech heresies two times in the short time before he became an Explorator. Whilst it was generally agreed that these were committed accidentally in what the subject believed was the best course of action, the punishments were still enforced.

Matthias decided that he would be better put to use in service to the Machine God and Omnisiah in the role of Explorator. Since he took up this task he has pursued it with sometimes dangerously passionate energy. On more than one occasion complaints have been lodged about Matthias conduct upon the discovery of potentially new information. These complaints are always lodged by non-Mechanics personnel.

Matthias has seen service with a Rouge Trader prior to this experience by the name of Exlisar Horen. From what can be made out that enterprise ended poorly after the Trader was killed in an accident whilst scouting a skeletal ship's hull. Matthias was for a time at a loose end until he encountered Vorst quite by accident in the record systems aboard the station where he was serving and decided it might be useful to seek him out and see if there was a position open in his crew for a skilled Tech Priest such as himself. There was.

    • Guys, just a heads up. My RP character profession is in charge with ensuring that all weaponry onboard a warship is serviceable and ready for action, from the greatest macrocannon to the meanest stub pistol. The Sergeants-At-Arms report directly to the Master of Arms, and by extension all Armsmen are under his or her control, and so they also perfom a role akin to that of a chief of police aboard ship.

Just copied not the whole thing from the Imperial Navy page on specialist ranks.

      Gender - Male.

Age - One hundred and thirty five.

      Career - Astropath.

Physical Traits - Eye color, white from Astropathical Transformation. Hair color, light red. Height and weight, six feet and one hundred and fifty seven pounds. Skin color, white pale. Languages, gothic low.

Psychic Powers - Freeze The Soul, Breath Stealing Barrage, The Void's touch, Dominate, Hallucination.

Background - Achilleus Bradicich was born on Briehal, a small backwater world of little renown. Briehal was a fairly connected world, with a number of large tribes that kneeled to the Emperor and a council of elders. Being born to one of these Elders, Achilleus was raised as to-be leader. Taught how to be charismatic and perceptive, Achilleus was to be the heir of his Father's throne. If it wasn't for his latent psychic powers developing. Thrown into a cell in the darkest and coldest dungeon to be left alone until the Black Ships of the Inquistion came to take the planet's psykers. Constantly Achilleus reached out subconciously with his mind, Achilleus felt nothing but the cold void. By the time the black ships came to Briehal, Achilleus had already mangaged to atleast keep his powers inactive. The Inquisitor in charge seeing the now young adult's capabilities gave him up to be a sanctioned psyker, where he trained his psychi until he to undertake the transformation of the Astropath. Undertaking this transformation left Achilleus blunted emotionally, the nerve damage he suffered left him cold and unfeeling to the world around him. Eventually he was assigned as a Rogue Trader's Astropath...

    • A small tip guys, I don't want to be rude or judging, but take an example from Anutk and try to describe the messages this way in character. Try to use more old and british english words (after all, this is how Britian sees the 41st millennium, just joking=).

If you can be more original with the words, then that will just contribute more to the experience of the RP, if you cannot, then that's ok, this will be just a bonus for the environment that you will create.

        Loading editor
    • I'm not that great with British english, I live in America, but I'll try regardless, I, certainly always try to use old and rich English in the roleplay, and words which convey the character's personality and speech.

        Loading editor
    • Umm, I really didn't see much of a difference. Do you mean using really old words like thou, ye, ya, na etc? I'm from Britain originally, and I'm not aware of us talking any differently to anyone else. Sorry if I'm sounding stupid or like I'm saying Antuk's piece isn't good, it's very good. I just can't understand what he did that we haven't been doing in regards to speech.

Also, I'm a bit confused about the geography of things. I've looked at maps of both the Koronus Expanse and the Calixis sector, and I can't find any trace of this Maw.

        Loading editor
    • Like I said, it's not a must do thing. If you think that this kind of description will fit your character, then go for it. If you think that it will be just a waste of time for you, then that's also ok. That was only an advice.

LOS, the maps that you checked were designed for locating planets, not for space wonders. I will try to find a map where the Maw could be shown. Though you can read about the Maw in the Koronus Expanse article.

        Loading editor
    • Thanks ZiXIS it would be really useful to know what exactly we are looking at on this map, but you didn't answer my first question. What exactly do you mean by old British English?

        Loading editor
    • Sorry, I meant just British English. But I guess that this will not concern your character. What I want you to try with your character is to make him see all things as if they were a mechanism. This is what the Tech-priests usually do.

Try to praise the Machine-God as often as you can, and try to mention him in your dialog too. For example, if some explosion accursed, then your tech-priest should respond with the phrase: "In the name of the Machine-God! What was that?" This kind of dialogue would really fit you.

Or you can also use the word Omnissiah too. Make your character talk and think that way, or at least so he would sound like that.

        Loading editor
    • Oh okay, that makes sense now. At least I think it does. But yeah that kind of speech was what I wanted to go for anyway. I will do my best to get the character right.

        Loading editor
    • What's up guys? Why us everyone so quite? It is your turn you know...

Anyway, I'll be posting stuff tomorrow,

      Sorry about the delay...

        Loading editor
    • Fair enough.

        Loading editor
    • Ok guys, here are some notes. If you are referring to someones name, the name of that place, or just typing the letter I, then please do it with the big letter.

Master, praying while planning is kind of... odd? I know that you could not do much in this scene, but a little creativity would not hurt. You could support Sefarius with oratory, inquire if there is another way into the Koronus Expanse, or just start a conversation with someone else. But maybe your Missionary is over-zealous figure, who knows...

Also, if you are referring to the Emperor, then you ought to always call him God-Emperor. This is why the Imperial Cult exist, because they believe that the Emperor is the God of Humanity incarnate. The faithful always call him God-Emperor.

Sanguinior, just a little grammar note. The three last lines of your last paragraph could use some commas. Also, where did you read about the stations of passage? I am curious about the source.

Aside from that, you guys are doing great. As always, don't take too seriously my judgment.

        Loading editor
    • Also, Reinno. There is no need to call Orlovio Master. The term Master is more suited to a far more privileged people. You can use Orlovie's career as a mean of addressment. Like Missionary Orlovio.

        Loading editor
    • Well my Missionary is of course over-zealous, he's from Ophelia VII, and I did the prayer part on purpose to further make the Missionary seem eccentric, and partly to show off to the Techpriest, and partly just to remain active within the Roleplay.

Other than that, there really isn't a whole lot a Missionary could do when planning a warp jump, he is not a navigator, astropath, nor captain of the vessel, so the only logical as this character thing, other than simply leaving, atleast to me would be to try to support the crew and bolster their faith and will with a prayer. Missionaries are sort of worthless when it comes to helping with navigation, as they know little about warp-travel.

        Loading editor
    • Point taken Zixis, on the whole prayer thing, there ought to be some discord but reading the xenograpeher thoughts on sympathy made me lol too much.

        Loading editor
    • On the other hand, yea... I get how it sounds... my whole point was to show that Ramius was not afraid or distrusted of the Astropath, while the psykers are known to be feared and shunned.

        Loading editor

What are we doing about the navigator position? Was someone supposed to play that role or is it going to be an NPC we meet along the way?

        Loading editor
    • I thought we already had a Navigator? We did not?

        Loading editor
    • uh... no actually. Just looked over the listed profiles and no one has the job...

If no ones playing as one, and their isn't an NPC for one, I know someone who could probably play as one.

      Need approval from zixis though...

        Loading editor
    • I approve. If you can find someone who will take the role of the Navigator, then go for it. If not, then the role will stay open. I can't imagine a Navigator being an NPC, since he must have a personality.

If you won't find any, then I will take a role of one more character.

        Loading editor
    • Also, LOS. If you want to blend in with your character, then I suggest that you read the Adeptus Mechanicus article. Not the whole page of course, just the content that talks about the Universal Laws, this is the Cult Mechanicus content.

        Loading editor
    • I'm back >:)

Anyway, I've been very busy with work and college lately, but a lot of that finally let up and I've got a lot more free time.

So dan mentioned you guys needed someone to play a navigator right? Well, I may need to research it a little, but I'm willing to play if that alright with you guys.

        Loading editor
    • Quick as ever it seems...

        Loading editor
    • Thanks ZiXIS but I've already read it.

        Loading editor
    • Oh, ok LOS, good to know that you are ready.

Hi Daniella, good to see you again. And yes, we need someone to take the role of the Navigator. I need you to read the Rogue Trader Navis Primer Rulebook. If you have an Iphone (or any other touch device), then you can download an app called scribd.

There, you will find the Rulebook and delve into it. This will be your research. After reading a good amount of the info, you will be needed to write your character's profile and add 5 or 4 psychic powers from that book.

These are the contents that need to be in your profile: Name, gender, age, career, hair colour, eye colour, height, weight, skin colour, languages (not necessary), Psychic Disciples, gear/wargear and a background (2 or 3 paragraphs).

Hope that this won't be too much to ask. The RP will go on, and I will find a proper time to make an entrance for your character.

        Loading editor
    • Though you may or may not know this, I'd like to remind both ZiX and Daniella that Navigators only have the powers their Third Eyes bestow them. So my suggestion would to be to take a look at the Navigator page this wiki has, and select your powers from there. My apologizes if I'm simply rattiling information you already know.

        Loading editor
    • Actually, you are right Anutk. Checking the page on the wiki will be much more easier than downloading the rulebook, and it has more info too. So yes, like Anutk, I suggest  you Daniella that you read the Navigator article, try to delve into it. I'm sure that you will make a fine Navigator.

        Loading editor
    • Also, Anutk, we are not on the Command Bridge, we are (or at least were) at Vorst's private chamber. No need to apologize, just rewrite your last post.

      Bio:

Some decades ago, House Harsious, a depleted nomadic house that had lost hundreds to several xeno raids, and House Janar, a Shrouded house with barely 60 members had decided to join together in an attempt to regain their lost political (and man) power. Both houses brought forth their best and least tainted members to produce a child that would lay the foundation of this new house. That child was named Fetrina Harnar.

Fetrina Showed much promise in her early life, taking in the knowledge and expertise of the nomadic Harsious, and the resorcefulnes and cunning of the Janar. By the age of 16, she won her first duel, and could already navigate through the warp. Things were looking good for the houses, but no one could have predicted the eventual conclusion.

The event itself was only ever referred to as "The Harnar Incident" and had involved a Major Novilite house and three inquisitors. But what is known is that Fetrina and the 17 surviving Navigators were forever barred from having any children bearing the navigator gene, to ensure the events would never transpire again. Fetrina and the survivors were seperated, and sent to the imperial navy to serve.

Fetrina herself would serve on several navy vessels, burying her past amist the endless sea. However, due to the administrum (again), instead of being reassigned after her current posting was aquired by a certain rouge trader, she ended up coming aboard, and learned about the exchange only after it had taken off. With no immediate alternative, she (reluctantly) became part of the crew.

BTW: You going to pick up deathwing when it comes out?
