The Shards of Erebus is a short story published in The Horus Heresy series that was originally part of an anthology. The Shards of Erebus was published as part of the Mark of Calth main series anthology in April 2013. The cover image used is that of Mark of Calth, as The Shards of Erebus was never republished separately.
Synopsis[]
Erebus takes the great Anathame that mortally wounded Horus Lupercal at Davin and splinters it into eight shards. From these shards are created arcane daggers similar in appearance to the athames carried by the Word Bearers that are imbued with staggering power.
