Wait, where is it written that the entire Chapter fought on Iriad IV? It is hard to believe that all space marines of the Ebon Knights besides Captain Revellion were killed.

I was asking myself the same thing. It sure does sound convincing at first, but if the entire Chapter fought, wouldn't the Chapter Master lead them into battle instead of "just" a Captain?

Yep. It is only said that he led his men (unknown number) and that after engaging the World Eaters, he was left with a less than a company. He could have led a strike force that consisted of two or three companies, bit not an entire chapter.

If you have a problem with something in an article, please, take it up with the article's author, in this case Algrim Whitefang. He can tell you why he made the choices that he did and whether they are correct in light of canon if you cannot find the page's events in the listed source (s). This is how corrections are made. In general, I trust him to get things right, though sometimes mistakes are made in the sourcing of something, and then we can fix it. However, do not try to make logical deductions about things that are often just throw-away lines in a Codex for flavour text. It's either canon or not canon (in which case it will be deleted); looking for "logic" in much of this material will get you nowhere. Montonius (talk) 20:52, May 8, 2017 (UTC)
That's quite a point, to be fair. I can imagine the Codex stating, that only 1 Astartes remains... *sigh*. The fluff for W40k is so great and yet so ... vague at points, it drives me nuts :/
