A Suspensor Web was a rare and highly sophisticated portable anti-gravitic transport device used by the Space Marine Legions during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.
Attached to man-portable heavy ranged weapons like Heavy Bolters, they negated much of the typical weight and bulk of these weapons. This allowed such weapons to be wielded far more easily which were bulky and awkward to handle even with the augmented transhuman physical strength of the Legiones Astartes.
However, this effect also unfortunately reduced the effective range of the weapons when fired.
