The icon of the Aeldari species
A Sunrifle is a ranged directed energy weapon only wielded by Aeldari Swooping Hawk Exarchs, and are energy weapons potent enough to assault whole squads of enemy troops with a burst of dazzling laser beams. They are similar to Lasblasters, but have a far higher rate of fire.
Background
Aeldari lasers use psychically grown crystals to refine their already intense bursts to their optimum potency. Many Aeldari consider the laser weapon the most elegant of all, exulting in the fact that their technological mastery extends even to light itself. These include the Swooping Hawks Aspect Warriors, who have transformed the practice of pinpoint laser fire into an art in itself -- their Exarchs lead them in this deadly technique, utilising sustained fusillades of deadly light.
