Overview
The Steel Confessors is a chapter secretly founded in 36th Millennium by the Adeptus Mechanicus for its own use. The chapter was created from the Iron Hands gene-seed.
Eventually the Inquisition discovered of the chapter's existence. The High Lords of Terra ruled the chapter could continue providing it took all of the vows other chapters are required to take.
The Steel Confessors is a harsh and uncompromising chapter. They are currently under investigation by the Ordo Hereticus after the destruction of the Tallarn 54th for "Failure to complete objectives".
Chapter Home World
The world of Kalevala was home to the Steel Confessors' Fortress Monastery, as well as a large manufactorum complex. Kalevala is home to the chapter's, gene-seed, as well as a Psychic Choir designed to boost the signal of the Astronomican so that mankind can navigate through the psychic miasma of the Hive Fleets.

Battle for Kalevala
The Battle for Kalevala was fought on the Steel Confessors' own homeworld against invading Tyranids. The entire chapter of the Steel Confessors successfully engaged in battle against the Tyranids of Hive Fleet Leviathan.

The Steel Confessors wear silver power armor with bone colored shoulder pads.

THe chapter symbol is a black cross surmounted in the middle by a lightning bolt in a red circle.
