A shadowfield is a Drukhari force field technology deployed to provide a defence screen on their voidships. Rather than make use of the Warp-powered Void Shields preferred by the Imperium or the Holo-fields or psychic energy fields of their Craftworld Aeldari kin, these force fields generate an area of fog-like distortion around their voidcraft which hides its location from visual observation and tactical augurs and other ship-based sensors alike. In this sense, the shadowfield is very similar to the Asuryani's Holo-field technology.
