The Riatov System is an Imperial star system located in the Chalnath Expanse in the northern Segmentum Ultima of the Imperium Nihilus. In the wake of the Great Rift's birth in the Era Indomitus the system was invaded by the forces of the T'au Empire's Fifth Sphere Expansion.

Even as the T'au launched their invasion of Riatov, a series of uprisings by a Genestealer Cult began, which transformed the system's worlds into an inferno of bloodshed as a three-way-conflict between the Astra Militarum, the Genestealer cultists and the T'au ensued, a small part of the wider Chalnath Expanse Campaign.

The Riatov System was the home system for several major groups of Astra Militarum regiments, including the Riatov Dragoons armoured regiments, the Riatov Grenadiers infantry regiments and the Riatov Ordnancers artillery regiments.
