Psykahnium1

The Psykhanium facility aboard the Firestorm-class Frigate Mourningstar requisitioned by Inquisitor Grendyl of the Ordo Hereticus of the Inquisition to train Acolytes for the reclaiming of Hive Tertium on Atoma Prime from the Admonition Chaos Cult of Nurgle. The controlling psyker and telepath Sefoni can be seen in the life support tank at the device's heart.

A Psykhanium is a psychic training facility employed by the Imperium of Man to train individuals in combat tactics against various foes of the Emperor. A Psykhanium was a tank-like life-support device in which a Sanctioned Psyker had been encased and is connected to multiple capsules where the trainees lie.

The psyker, who was a powerful telepath, was able to project psychic emanations of many different types of enemy combatants into the minds of those individuals within the tank. These projections were formed within an empty, arena-like mental space where they could be battled by Imperial military personnel and Inquisition Acolytes alike as part of their tactical training regimen.

Psykhanium2

Another view of the Psykhanium aboard the frigate Mourningstar; this view shows the pods where users of the device lie to have the controlling psyker project tactical scenarios into their minds.

The Rogue Trader Firestorm-class Frigate Mourningstar that had been requisitioned by Inquisitor Grendyl of the Ordo Hereticus of the Inquisition to serve as a base of operations had a Psykhanium chamber within it that was occupied by a female Sanctioned Psyker telepath named Sefoni. It was used to help train the various agents of the Inquisition who were assembled from various backgrounds to battle the Chaos Cult dedicated to Nurgle known as the Admonition and their allies among the Traitoris Militarum Moebian 6th Regiment that afflicted the Hive World of Atoma Prime in the Moebian Domain.
