The Onyx Patrol is a watch fortress of the Deathwatch Chapter that patrols the Segmentum Solar.
In truth, the Onyx Patrol is not a stationary watch fortress like others, though it is officially classified as such, so much as a fleet of Adeptus Astartes warships maintained by the Deathwatch, for its quarry is the nomadic Craftworld Aeldari who call themselves the Asuryani.
Its web of informants stretches across the Segmentum Solar, and its Warp-drives are kept hot. Since the patrol's inception, Aeldari sightings in the core sectors of the Imperium have become rare indeed.
