Thank you very much, my next target is the Heavy Mortar Cannon. The only thing don't understand you changing is the names of regiments, I write them as they're written in the books, but you always change the regiment's name and number position, its not a big deal, just a little confusing. Such as the Cadian 8th Armoured Regiment, you change to 8th Cadian Armoured Regiment. Just unsure of which way is correct.
Please watch out for this, I found more instances where you are changing existing British spellings for their American counterparts. If a word seems to be misspelled by only a single letter, it is probably a British word; please check it with an on-line dictionary until you recognise the standard British spellings.
I'm sorry about that, I've keeping a look out for these words. I know that the American version of many of them use z instead of s, and I've been looking for those. I'll pay more attention for other words like that.
Hey V, you are doing so well I was wondering if you would like to become one of our project leaders, in this case for vehicles. I would like you to go through all of the Imperial Armour books and add every single vehicle that we are missing (or flesh out what we already have) using the same formatting that we have created for the Imperial ones (with modifications for the different races). I will provide you with all the formatting help you need. You do not have to do this, of course, it's completely up to you, but the wiki needs a contributor of your dedication in this area. If you are interested, let me know, and we will discuss it further. Thanks.
Excellent. Please make sure that you add all of the information contained within each vehicle's entries in the books. I know there is always a fear of plagiarism but as long as you paraphrase tightly, you can get all of the information contained within the books into an article. We'll talk more as you move forward about formatting as it comes up. Thank you for undertaking this project for the wiki.
Hey V, please be careful, you're leaving a lot of information out of some of the articles that is needed. Please take a look at my revisions to the Crassus article to see what I mean and how you can integrate all of the information of a given entry in the Imperial Armour books into a page. Other than that, great job. Thanks.
I copied sentences and reworded them all if the vehicle didn't already have one of our wiki entries, I find it much easier than than going back and forth, unfortunately I missed some of the links, as our wiki instantly changes it to an external link and it stays blue. I'll be more careful next time, there was only one or two right?
I understand completely, it won't happen again. Soon I won't need to look there for any information on IG tanks, I only need to add around 4 or 5 more pages and we'll have all of the Imperial Guard's vehicles. After that I will touch up the already existing pages like the Leman Russ, Basilisk, and Chimera.
Hey V. Be careful, you have a tendency to produce a lot of run-on sentences, using a comma to separate clauses where you should just cut up one sentence into two. It's really the only error you are making, grammar-wise, so I thought I would call it to your attention instead of just always correcting it. Anyway, great job on the vehicles.
V, you cannot handle that topic that way. Please move all of that information onto the separate Baneblade and Shadowsword pages, respectively. I will leave the page up so you can copy paste the information and when the transfer is complete please tell me and I will edit the transfers and then delete the page. NEVER create conglomerate pages like that. One page per character, vehicle, battle, ship, event, etc. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of the wiki structure.
If you are a little tired of creating new articles every day, please take a break for several days, if you like. There's no rush.
Sure, do whatever you feel is necessary. But be aware, those list pages are left from the prior incarnation of this wiki. I want users to use the individual pages on those topics, not spend time on the list pages, so don't spend your time copy pasting information from the individual pages to the list page. Just provide a broad overview and let the user link to the individual page for that entry if they want a more detailed view of that vehicle.
Gotcha, I really just wanted to rid the page of the errors and references to the tabletop game and video games. I feel it breaks the immersion of the site, like when it starts talking about game rules and stuff of that nature.
Hey V, please make sure you are putting the Also See section in the same place on every page. You are sometimes putting it above the Sources section and sometimes below. Please do one of the other. Since I have found more pages with it below the Sources section, I would suggest you stick with that rather than have to redo all of them. In the future, before you make such an addition to all the pages of a similar kind on the wiki, it would be wise to coordinate with me first to prevent unnecessary revisions. Thanks.
