I just wanted to compliment your work on the Dreadnoughts, particularly the Death Company Dreadnought. Beautiful Page. You'll notice I made very few edits. That page was near-perfect gramatically. Please keep it up, I love when I have to do less editing!
Thank you! As you may have noticed I have finished up all of the Dreadnought variants (except the Deathwatch Dreadnought, which is fine as is) and I will now begin work on the Imperial Guard vehicles I missed.
Hi V, just wanted to say, about that cannon conflict, it probably iisn't condlicting with one another, as planets do move around in the Galaxy over thousands of years, although it is a rare occurence, and happens slowly accross the millenia. also, after the Horus Heresy, many of the segmentums were re written, or re named.
also, just wanted to say that your work is brilliant, and the forge worlds have needed to be updated for months, if not years.
You cannot just cut and paste links from pages using Visual Mode. You must go into source mode and copy them and then paste them, also in Source mode, into the destination page. Any other way introduces corrupt coded links into the new page. This is a wikia bug.
Nice job over the last few days. I really liked the Lucius page as well. Can you do me a favour and take a look at the Marauder page and see if there is enough info to do separate pages for the three variants? I don't want to pull you off-task of your completion of the Dreadnoughts, but when you get time, if you could take a look, it'd be helpful. Thanks.
Thank you for the compliment, and the advice, as for the Marauder variants I can build a page for them if you like, but if I do it for them I have to make pages for the Hellhound and Malcador tank pages, as they are the only ones without pages for their variants. Which reminds me that the Malcador page needs updated anyways with information from the new Forge World Horus Heresy Book.
Also, when I have a little time to make a short page, as my vehicle pages take me a good amount of time to do them, I shall make pages for vehicle and other related pages, like the Forge Worlds.
Sounds great. Please finish the Dreadnoughts first before moving on to all the rest. I would like to see pages for all the varinats as your work has been excellent on the all the ones you already did. Thanks.
Hey V, after some consideration, please don't alter the dreadnought page, I'm happy with the way it is. However, please create a separate page for each Dreadnought variant; those are the pages that need your special touch. The main Dreadnought page will be treated as a portal page out to those subsidary pages you create. Thanks.
As you wish, but for consistency's sake shall I at least add a good picture to the very beginning of the page, as every single other vehicle page uses art as its first picture. Also, the second picture on the page (Avenging Sons Dreadnought) is already in the page's gallery.
I've picked 5 of the best Dreadnought pictures I could find, I believe that the page would benefit highly from at least some of these images being added, or at least using one of them for the first image, anyways here they are:
First up is the beautiful image of Astral Claws Ancient Kleitor from the first Badab War book:
Second is a Blood Angels Dreadnought from Index Astartes:
Third is a badass Black Templars Dreadnought killing some Chaos fools:
Fourth is some Ultramarines Dreadnoughts:
And last but not least, the Dreadnought from the opening video from Dawn of War:
I will warn you though, the first one is actually a Venerable Dreadnought, so it'll be on the Venerable Dreadnought page as well. Also, I know you wanted the Dreadnought page left alone, but there are several Dreadnought variants that are missing: Venerable, Chaplian, Librarian, Death Company, and Deathwatch. Shall I add these in (in time) or do you want the honors?
my thanks to Algrim for ending the wait for the Jetbike page, but do any of you guys think that any of the Chapters (eg - iron Hands, Salamanders, Blood Angels) could still be able to manufacture the Jetbike (not in very large numbers of course, more of hobby work, like a guy in his spare time building a motor bike from scratch over years). because some of the Ancient armours and weapons are returning to service in these chapters, such as the Storm Bird and Storm Eagle, Tartarus Terminator Armour (why else would a young [debatable] Chapter such as the Minotaurs have sets of their armour, even if they are friendly with Inquisition), and limited procuduction of older armour designs on Kiavhar, the Raven Guards forge World.
only asking, and would be grateful for a response.
I'm reasonably sure that all Jetbike STCs have been long lost. Techmarines don't even want to try fixing current ones in case they break it. All of the ancient armours and weapons may be just newly released from GW/FW and in fluff were probably "always there". Maybe some can still be produced, most are irreplaceble. At least, that is what I think.
Montonius: I shall work on adding any additional information to the new Jetbike page, which I'm assuming is the Imperial Jetbike page with additional information on other Jetbikes (Eldar) correct?
Fire Drake 96: The only canon Jetbikes being used in the 41st Millennium is the single one used by the Ravenwing, although I'm sure that the White Scars probably have several, but other than the Ravenwing there are no other known canon Jetbikes in use. As for the STC for Jetbikes, I can almost guarantee it's gone, and any Jetbikes still in existence are treated like holy relics and only used for show or in dire situations.
Shas'o'Kais: The Tomb Blades are actually spacecraft, but the Necrons use them for fast attack ground units. The Eldar and Dark Eldar Jetbikes are mentioned on the Jetbike page because they are actually called Jetbikes. Also, according to the story Feat of Iron from the Horus Heresy Novel The Primarchs, the Iron Hands Legion did not use Jetbikes, Bikes, or Land Speeders.
You are correct sir! Algrim essentially made it a portal page for Jetbikes. I would ave made it just for Imperial Jetbikes per our oiginal structure, but now that he did the work, I'm happy to leave it as is. Of course the Jetbike (Eldar) page also needs your attention, V, but that can wait til you tackle the Eldar, if you want. I don't want to unnecessarily slow down your current progression on the Space Marines.
Alrighty, I'll do the Eldar Jetbike and Reaver pages when I do their respective factions later, and as for the Space Marines my next page is going to be the Drop Pod page, after that I'll work on the Jetbike page and add any additional information I can find. (As I've already got all the information, sources, and pictures for the Drop Pod ready.)
Sounds good. Don't do the Reaver page, create a separate page for a Reaver Jetbike, if there is even enough information for that. I believe the Reavers have already been fully dealt with as a group, but you are certainly welcome to create a Reaver Jetbike page.
Ok, I wasn't planning on doing an actual Reavers page, I leave that stuff to you and Algrim, which reminds me: The only Imperial Guard vehicle page that needs done is that of the Rough Riders, and I think that mutant horses and dirtbikes are more of a section on a page rather than a page themselves.
I agree, but you can feel free to create the Rough Riders page and we can add to it. Your pages are fantastic, and I would not mind seeing you do your usual comprehensive job. If not, as you alreayd have plenty on your plate, I'll simply assign it to Algrim as another of our IG regiment jobs, which has been one of his areas. I've just got him on a ton of other stuff at the moment.
