  • Montonius, on the page Salamanders, the last battle recorded is the battle for Scoria (book 1 of the Tome of Fire Trilogy) since then, much like the Blood Angels, the Salamander Home planet, Nocturn, has been attacked by Heretics. this I feel needs to be updated on the Salamanders page. and maybe Algrim Whitefang or Vforvendetta could do a new page on how all these founding Chapters (legions as they still call themselves) homeworlds are being attacked by Chaos forces and Tyrannids.

good work on the Wiki by the way

  • I added my bot, User:RogalBot to the check page. Wikia staff flagged him as a bot so when I use AWB i'll use that. Flagged bots basically dont clog up the recent changes or wiki activity special pages. you can however click "show bot edits" under recent changes to see bot edits.

    • LOL. Well thank you very much, Rogal. I love your bot, and thanks for the help in providing this capability.

    • lol not a problem, if you need anything wiki-wise I'll try to lend a hand. I haven't kept up with canon material in years though so I'm afraid I can't add to what is already here probably haha.

  • Okay. Now all the copyright templates are up for whenever anyone uses Special:Upload or Special:MultipleUpload. they can select them right from the box and they will auto-load. I have them listed on my user page if you want to see them all.

    • Well thanks I appreciate it. Generally, we only use the Template: Disclaimer foreverything, however, since we really only have one source of artwork and pictures, which is Games Workshop, and they require a special legal disclaimer on everything. Anyway, thanks for all your help, I'm off to bed, do what you can, and have fun!

  • Hi Montonius,

I am writing to you to ask if your wiki is interested in being a part of an early stage release of a new product we are working on. We are currently developing a new version of forums so that communities can have a clearer place to communicate and discuss topics as a group. Much as the message wall was meant to help improve how users chat person to person, the new forums are designed to make it easier for your whole community to discuss your topic and wiki, as well as a simpler way to follow conversations. We are hoping to release a beta version of this feature this Wednesday, and will work with you closely to track feedback and bug reports. Please let me know if your wiki is interested in participating in this. So you know, I also left this same message for Algrim Whitefang, who appears to be the other most active admin. If there is another place I should post this, please let me know.

    • Thanks for the addition of the beta forums. Here's the first bit of feedback. Unless you guys place a button or interface on the front page of the wiki or the wiki activity page similar to the one used for the wiki chat, no one is even going to know these forums exist and they will receive very little use from our audience. I would suggest that this be added as the first improvement.

    • If you use the new wiki nav (as you can see on muppet), it will actually show on the "on the wiki" tab. For the old nav, we haven't added a place for it, but you can manually do it by adding Special:Forum

  • I noticed this error "The Fist of Dorn is a master-crafted Thunder Hammer with a fist-shaped head. It was given to the Primarch of the Imperial Fists Space Marines, Rogal Dorn, by the former Captain of the First Company of the Imperial Fists, Kleitus, when he materialised into a rock after a teleporter accident, coming to a most painful death"

The problem is that the Fist of Dorn was not given to the Primarch Rogal Dorn, It was given to Darnath Lysander from Kleitus of the First Company when he materialised into the the stone at the siege of Haddrake Tor. My source is Codex: Space Marine 4th edtion page 47, second paragraph. I was unable to edit the page and was dirrected to Montonius. I really enjoy this wiki and just wanted to make sure the info was up to date.

  • Unless I am mistaken, I don't think theres a page on this wiki on Imperial Guardsmen in general (as in the foot soldiers). Maybe you or Algrim should make a page on them, as it seems to be a big hole.

  • hi Montonius, just asking, when is the Salamander campaigns section going to be updated; the battle for Nocturne, and the dark Eldar battles still have to be recorded.

sorry if this puts a spanner in the works, it just seems everything but this has been done.

  • Montonius,

Did you happen to see the article in Slate about how much actual U.S. military men and women enjoy 40k? They link to this wiki several times: http://www.slate.com/articles/life/gaming/2012/09/warhammer_40k_why_american_troops_love_to_play_a_game_featuring_orks_necrons_and_space_marines_.html
