So I was looking through the Ultra Marines codex and I found this image. no were in the book does it state he became a Dreadnought, but this Dreadnought in the pic does share his name and exact company number. I dont think thats just a coincidence.
I'm sorry I can't respond to all these queries. I've got a lot of other duties, and I can't just respond to one person's queries every day, so let's slow this down unless you find a really gaping factual problem on a page, which I am happy to correct.
As for Maximus Epathus I need a lot more evidence that that is the name of the Dreadnought in the picture. We don't operate on supposition, theory, or inference, only what has been stated outright in GW or GW-licensed sources. This does not mean in any way that you are incorrect, only that it does not yet meet the standard of proof.
I understand that thanks though. I was going to ask though if you could unlock the Contemptor Dreadnought page real quick. I wanted to add the names of who the different dreadnought characters are to the images section. I see most of them have them but a few are missing some. I figured if you unlocked the page for it I could do it myself instead of making you do the work.
Warframelord please don't add lore to large pages, those stories are much more detailed than what you are adding and it really isn't up to our quality standards. If you want to be helpful as a new editor, if you find any major factual errors, please let me know and I can repair them.
I was going to add Dreadnought Radamarr from Clan Dorrvok to iron hands notable members, but the page is locked rn. I find him a neat additon in that he is the main character in his short story and is actually a dreadnought whos pilot isnt inside. hes just a soul in a dread. The story goes on about his unit being wiped out by xenos and he is found cut in half by a wolf priest called Jathrac. the wolf priest was going around gathering the geneseed of Radamarrs fallen brothers. but when he gets to Radamarr, the dread tells him not to gather his as he is not worthy. well anyhow it gets to him opening the dread and finding out there is no pilot inside left just wires and bone cogs. The story is Iron Soul by Phil Kelly. I have a pdf of it if need for sources.
Also it should be added to his character info in notable members that Dreadnought Furnous as of The newest Iron Hands codex was removed from his old Dreadnought shell and is now put into Redemptor Dreadnought.
Hi again Montonius I had seen you are working on the page for Veritas Ferrum and was going to change the name under known vessels on iron hands page to a link to its page your working on but seen it was locked.
Also I was kinda curious if u had seen the lore from Belisarius Cawl Great Work about Alpha Primus. he was like a prototype Primaris Marine and was actually even stronger then the normal ones and the only of his kind. His lore was really neat and he make a good addition to the Primaris page or even his own page.
I had also seen you had a few added already so I figured I would give you heads up that there is a few more of them. Magnus and Horus are from Saturnine. Dorn and Perturabo are from Solar war. I would add them myself but I dont want it done wrongly.
I edited the image Info for the damaged Dreadnought. I found a pic on google of the page the dread shows on since the book is hard to find anymore. I added the image to this message so you know i didnt add false info to the wiki.
Also I figured I would note that there is another Dark Angel that crossed the Rubicon Primaris. Xerophus. The info is on Psychic Awakening Ritual of the Damned, pg. 42. I figured i would just tell you instead of adding the info myself and doing it wrongly, as im not sure I did the info I already added to Sons of Medusa or Iron Father right.
One other minor thing I found that I think would look great on the Shattered Legions page is the new pic from Sons of Selenar of Ulrach Branthans improvised Dreadnought. I just think it would look great next to his bio on the page as there is no other Dreadnoughts like his.
Recently, while reading articles about the Forces of Chaos and the Lost and the Damned, I found a lot of information about Traitor Guardsmen, or units of the Astra Militarum that have fallen to Chaos, and would like to write an article about this "Traitor Guard". The problem is that I don't have a massive amount of contrete information about their history or units, except that they have taken their armouries and vehicles with them into the forces of Chaos. I also don't have many images of these Traitor Guardsmen to work with and many explanations are very brief, with few images themselves.
I know you can't just give me the whole history of the Traitor Guard and their units, however I'd appreciate it if you knew about any pages with lots of Traitor Guard information or pages with lots of images related to the Traitor Guard. While I know the Traitor Guard may just seem like another faction of Chaos, most pages referring to the Chaos-corrupted Astra Militarum forces simply refer to them as "Traitor Astra Militarum" or "Traitor Imperialis Auxilia" in the case of the Horus Heresy page, and this bugs me because the explanation of these Traitor units is extremely brief, often referring to them as simply as "entire companies, or even entire regiments of Astra Militarum soldiers turn away from the light of the Emperor and join the ranks of the Lost and the Damned, taking with them their armouries and vehicles" which, while correct, isn't very informative.
The Traitor Guard are not a separate faction. They are just part of the Lost and the Damned. They are no different from standard Astra Militarum forces, just serving Chaos. This is because the models for Traitor Guard are the same as the Astra Militarum, just repainted. There is no more information on them than what you have read, and they are simply not that important and are not considered a major faction on their own. They are mostly used as canon fodder and support or garrison troops for the Chaos Space Marines. You are, unfortunately, looking for something that doesn't exist. However, to understand their mindset, you might also want to check out the Chaos Cults page.
I created the Sons of Dorn chapter back in the 2000s and am delighted to see them on here. Someone seems to have altered their color scheme at some point though. They do not have a red circle behind their chapter symbol, and they also have green eye lenses. The only red on them is on purity seals and their bolter casing. Can I have that fixed?
Hi there. Unfortunately, those are the canon colours and emblem as published in Adeptus Astartes: Successor Chapters (Limited Booklet Release) by Games Workshop, the latest canon publication to feature the Chapter and is therefore what we must display. They must have altered your original design. But I'm very glad we could make them a part of the canon lore.
I do have one question though: how much of the story of the Chapter on that page is correct and matches your original vision? I have a suspicion that some of it is fanon that was incorrectly placed there by others.
I'm sorry Chris, unless your additional fluff has been published by a Games Workshop source, it cannot be used here and all that is known officially about the Chapter is now present on the page.
However, your Chapter is considered canon, but only its EXISTENCE and colour scheme is canon at this time, unless your further material is published in an official source. With that said, I will add your authorship of the Chapter to the page and I very much encourage you to contact GW with your material.
I would love to see it published so we can fill that page out with your work! There are just too few White Scars Successor Chapters as it is!
