An Ironhail Heavy Stubber is an advanced pattern of the common Heavy Stubber in use by the Imperium of Man. Like all Heavy Stubbers, the Ironhail Pattern is a heavy-barrelled ballistic Auto Weapon used for sustained fire. Like its less-advanced counterparts, the Ironhail Heavy Stubber is ideal for fighting off large numbers of enemies or even lightly armoured vehicles. Its high rate of fire makes up for its lack of strength and armour-piercing abilities.
Heavy Stubbers are often pintle-mounted and used as close defence weapons on Imperial vehicles. The Ironhail Heavy Stubber is often deployed as standard armament on Primaris Space Marine Repulsor grav-tanks where it is used as an effective anti-infantry and even light anti-aircraft defensive weapon.
