The Honoured Sons are a Codex Astartes-compliant Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of unknown Founding and origin. Almost nothing is known about this Chapter in the Imperial records except for the name of their homeworld of Jonol, located in the Eastern Fringes of the Segmentum Ultima.

Though all of the Successor Chapters extant in the 41st Millennium owe their genetic heritage to one of the First Founding Legions, not all the histories of their creation have survived the passing of thousands of standard years of war. The Honoured Sons believe they are descended from the Imperial Fists Primarch Rogal Dorn, and whilst no evidence exists to the contrary, neither do the Imperial Fists officially acknowledge them as a Successor Chapter.

Notable Campaigns

  • Hive Fleet Jormungandr (995.M41) - The tendrils of the Tyranid Hive Fleet Jormungandr began to brush against the northeastern boundaries of the Imperium. The Honoured Sons and Death Spectres lead the counterattack against this arm of the Great Devourer.

Chapter Appearance

Chapter Colours

The Honoured Sons primarily wear forest green-coloured Power Armour. The Aquila or Imperialis, as well as the power pack exhaust vents, are silver in colour. The shoulder pads are white in colour. The black-coloured squad specialty symbol -- (Tactical, Assault, Devastator, or Veteran) -- is indicated on the right shoulder guard. A white coloured Gothic numeral centred on the squad specialty symbol designates the Astartes' squad number. The shoulder pad trim colour indicates the company number in accordance to the Codex Astartes -- i.e. White (1st Company), Yellow (2nd Company), Red (3rd Company), Green (4th Company), etc.

Chapter Badge

The Honoured Sons' Chapter badge is a stylised ebon-coloured Imperial Aquila, grasping a large white skull in its talons, centred on a field of white.
