The Heraclitus Virus was a specialised strain of virus, created by Biologis Magos Szalin of the Adeptus Mechanicus. The virus was based on a fragment of ancient research conducted by Magos Heraclitus, designed to increase the production of crops on Agri-Worlds, amplified by Magos Szalin's genius to increase this productivity a thousandfold.
The virus was stolen by Iron Warriors Warsmith Honsou from the Adeptus Mechanicus' experimental facility on Golbasto, with Szalin being killed in the attack. Honsou would subsequently use this virus to destroy Tarsis Ultra, presumably rendering the Heraclitus Strain extinct.
