Grav-Raider

The Grav-Raider was an advanced variant of the Land Raider that utilised anti-gravitic plates for locomotion rather than the usual treads. The system had been designed by the famed Mechanicum techno-archeologist Arkhan Land himself. The variant was most often used by the forces of the Legio Custodes, though it was available to other elite forces among the Legiones Astartes of the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy, such as the voted-lieutenant who commanded the Dark Angels Legion's Deathwing.

Notable Grav-Raiders

• Land's Raider - The appropriately named Land's Raider was the personal Grav-Raider transport of Arkhan Land. This Grav-Raider was larger even than a Spartan Assault Tank and was armoured with rare Martian alloys deemed too rare for use even by the Legiones Astartes. It featured an armoured turret with an array of four Volkite Culverins arranged in a quad-turret.

• Galatine - The Galatine was a Grav-Raider that served as the personal transport of the commanding voted-lieutenant of the Dark Angels Legion's Deathwing during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy. Voted-Lieutenant Holguin believed it to be a unique design that had been drawn from Caliban's ancient past.
