The Liberators is a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of unknown Founding and origin. Almost nothing is known about this Chapter in Imperial records, other than its involvement in the disastrous joint action, known as the Thrassos Disaster, that occurred when WAAAGH! Dregdakka overran the Adransa Cluster in 928.M41.

- The Thrassos Disaster (928.M41) - In 928.M41, WAAAGH! Dregdakka ploughed headlong into the Adransa Cluster, causing untold devastation. On the planet of Thrassos a combined force of Space Marines from the Liberators and Iron Knights Chapters attempted to halt the Orks' steamroller advance. A horde of Orks including Dregdakka himself were lured onto a huge refinery platform before Techmarines destroyed all bridges linking the platform to the mainland. Space Marine Kill-teams then deployed across the hulking structure, tasked with slaughtering the trapped greenskins and assassinating Dregdakka. Yet the Adeptus Astartes had woefully underestimated their foe, the greenskins digging in and fighting back with unexpected tenacity. Though they killed thousands of Orks, over three hundred Space Marines were slain and their comrades were overwhelmed as yet more Ork vessels poured into the system. His trophy poles rattling with freshly harvested Space Marine helms, Warlord Dregdakka's position was now unassailable. His WAAAGH! completely overran the Adransa Cluster within the year.

Chapter Colours[]
The Liberators primarily wear purple Power Armour, which includes the helm, both shoulder plates, arms and legs. The power pack, chest plate, torso and groin are black. The Aquila or Imperialis on the chest guard is white. The white squad specialty symbol -- Tactical, Devastator, Assault or Veteran -- is located on the right knee guard. A purple Roman numeral is stenciled in the centre of the squad specialty symbol on the right knee, indicating squad number. A white Roman numeral is stenciled on the left knee guard, which indicates company number.
Chapter Badge[]
The Liberators' Chapter badge is a stylised, white profile of a raptor's head, on a field of purple. The Chapter badge is displayed on both shoulder plates.
