Doombreed

Doombreed was an ancient Daemon Prince of the Blood God Khorne who led the 5th Black Crusade of the Forces of Chaos against the Imperium of Man from the Eye of Terror in 723.M36.

History

Doombreed was one of the first human beings to ever be raised to daemonhood by the will of Khorne. Centuries before the Age of the Imperium began, Doombreed had been a human warlord on Old Earth. He carried out a campaign of such wanton slaughter and sheer genocide across Mankind's homeworld that Khorne, then still a relatively young Chaos God, found him to be worthy of the ultimate reward of daemonhood as one of the first of the Blood God's Daemon Princes.

Many millennia later, after the defeat of the Forces of Chaos in the Horus Heresy, Doombreed declared war upon the Adeptus Astartes, recognising that the Loyalist Space Marine Chapters represented the greatest obstacles to the victory of Chaos in the galaxy. Doombreed launched and led the 5th Black Crusade out of the Eye of Terror and specifically focused upon the Chapter planets of certain Astartes Chapters. Doombreed successfully eliminated both the Warhawks and Venerators Chapters to the last warrior before the Imperium rallied enough military strength to drive his forces back into the Eye of Terror.
