Cyrene is one of the many planets that makes up the Imperium of Man. The planet is used as a source of recuits for the Adeptus Astartes Space Marine Chapter, the Blood Ravens. Shortly before the events in the video game Dawn of War, Cyrene is subjected to an Exterminatus by the commander of the Blood Ravens' third company Gabriel Angelos, after the seed of heresy was discovered within the planet's population. The planet is now an S - Class: Dead World.
