Bonesingers are a means of construction within the Eldar. These psykers are gifted with construction, and though they had been mentioned in the background before (in, for example, Codex: Craftworld Eldar), they were first introduced as a battlefield unit in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. They use their telepathic ability to summon or psychically generate wraithbone, which they construct into buildings or use to repair vehicles and armor.
Uses in Warhammer 40,000
Release
In November 2006, the Bonesinger was released as a model in the United States. The model could be bought by buying the Battle for Macragge boxed set, a relatively large, inexpensive building set, with another Battleforce, a large army set containing of around 500 army points. Alternatively, it can be purchased from the UK online shop, being the first online shop only product. In the last two issues of the Australian and Canadian White Dwarf magazines, the bonesinger model has been offered as a bonus gift for subscribing.
Game Usage
While the Bonesinger has no actual rules for the game of Warhammer 40,000, it has officially been suggested to be used under the same rules as a Farseer. That means it is treated as a psyker, HQ choice, and an Independent Character.
