Bolt Revolver

A Bolt Revolver is a hand-held, ballistic, anti-personnel weapon used by the military forces of the Leagues of Votann that is very similar to the Imperial bolter.

Like its Imperial counterparts, with which it shares a common technological heritage from pre-Imperial Terra through the STC databases, the Bolt Revolver fires kinetic projectiles known as "bolts" that explode on impact. A Bolt Revolver works like a traditional revolver in that its wielder must fire only one projectile at a time and the weapon possesses a limited amount of ammunition before its six, separate chambers must be reloaded. The Bolt Revolver also has a very short effective range, like all pistols. However, despite these limitations, a Bolt Revolver is more accurate than any other type of Bolt Pistol, whether Imperial or Kin-made.

Kin weapons like Bolt Revolvers are superior in almost every respect to those wielded by the agents of the Imperium, since the Kin employ superlative materials and methods in their construction and have no fear of further innovating on an ancient STC design. As a result, the Bolt Revolver still often has a longer range and more stopping power than any of its Imperial equivalents.

Bolt Revolvers are a favoured personal weapon among Hernkyn Pioneers.
