Have there ever been stories/novels featuring characters who fell to chaos and then repented? Other than the Dark Angels and the Fallen, I haven't heard of any story lines or plot devices that allow for those who stray to ever have a second chance.

Yeah I know what you mean. One of my friends played as Grey Knights and killed half of the enemy army in the first turn just with the dreadnought! (It wasn't the largets game ever but it was still about 20 enemies dead in one turn). Needless to say they packed up pretty soon and then tried with a different army.
But Du'un how exactly can the Grey Knights be one in a trillion if the population of the Imperium is only about ten billion hmmm... Okay just kidding, I wouldn't be surprised if you were right about that. I personally think there is probably something like 100 trillion or more in the Imperium despite what it says in cannon.
But yeah in the fluff Grey Knights are awsome!!!!!

How did a Dreadnought take out 20 guys? The main powerful build is the Psyflecannon Dreadnought, and it only gets 4 Strength 8 shots.
Huron Blackheart.
When he turned traitor a number of Legions turned with him apart from his own. They, however surrendered during the Babad war (I thinks thats what its called)
You are correct Bad, it is the Badab war
Yeah
Note one of them is a mutant legion so they are like on their 3rd chance
Sould Drinkers definitely god a second chacnce. They were unwittingly serving a Daemon king, Abraxes, and had the full ability to slay him and become righteous again, despite extensive corruption. That, and the Harlequins, though they are eldar, are totally beyond the Chaos God's thrall, having been POSSESSED before hand.
Not all of the Harlequins are to be bound in damnation for eternity, only the Solitaires are. The only chance they have is a deal with the Laughing God.
