you wanna compare slave fighters to f.e. slave labourers, who did not have any sort of training and were probably in worse shape,( as the gladiators had to put up a good fight for amusement, whereas the mineslaves merely got what they needed to keep working...
also: ever tried using light armoured riders against full plate formations?
the only thing that helped the lhan was, that he did not use melee ;)
better said: what helped the lhan was using his advantages, like corax, like curze.
something that angron never did.
The fact that he used his crimes to strike fear into the hearts of others is a pretty good indicator of psychological warfare, he knew what he was doing to coerce people into following his orders.
They also had more versatile skills and more tools, explosives and the like, and you have no evidence that they didn't have the supplies they needed. (admittedly I can't either, but I can work from assumptions given that Angron's forces were around for a while before being hunted down so they didn't have any support for a long period of time).
Have you? Cause I'm pretty sure you aren't exactly a knight or trained horse archer either. Also of course you don't try having light cavalry charge full plate formations, that's not what they're for. They were for harrassment and whittling down the enemy force by circling them and shooting.
Oh really? Then why is it that Jaghati and the White Scars utilize lances and why are there assault troops among the White scars? Also, the tribespeople probably did have spears, scimitars, and the like, since only a complete idiot would use only one form of warfare and expect a victory in every battle and those are the kind of weapons that steppe people used.
Angron knew how to do one thing when it came to tactics at the time, melee combat, and he showed that he was capable of using that to win battles time and time again. So yeah, kinda wrong there.
Also, going by your typing style, argument style, and such I'm going to hazard a guess that you're neithan02, though if so I don't know why you haven't logged on.
1. my point exactly: he made the best out of his situation: aka he fought with his mind on
2. they werer around for a long time a s a group of fighters that was able enough to raid villages and settlements, they were big enough to force a big army of their former "owners" to go after them... they could f.e. have branched out and thus have been less of a target, using guerilla tactics to escape and harras... just a sidentoe, although angron is simply doing a spartacuesque thing,
3. and whittling down is what the khan did and not fully charge into plate formations, which is somehting you said he did or should have done in the battle that gave therm the planet. you use what gives you the advantage and not slaughter your own people (which is what angron did with his lack of thought).
4. you wanna compare jagathai post empi with pre empi?^^
5. "Angron knew how to do one thing when it came to tactics at the time, melee combat, and he showed that he was capable of using that to win battles time and time again."
which only won him fights when he could throw numbers at the enemy and they were either less well armoed and armoured or had less esprit de corps. angron won time and time again because he did not give a damn about losses.
and neither the superiority in numbers nor in equipment were on his side in the engagements with his slave army versus their former owners: aka:
angron was too closeminded to actually use his brain and figure out what advantages he had, instead he rushed into a battle and basiccally suicided
In response
1. I'm not entirely sure what you're saying, it looks like you got cut off here.
2. True, I can see how that'd be better.
3. No, don't take what I said out of context, for all we knew there were no equestrian animals or equivalent beasts on Nuceria and Angron was and always has been an infantry commander, not a cavalry/light vehicle commander like Jaghati.
4. That's not an answer or refutation and again, only an idiot would utilize one strategy and think that would win him every battle. Look at Jaghati's inspiration Genghis Khan and his exploits, he made use of siege equipment and infantry as well as horse archers.
5. True, so I suppose you win the argument.
