The Blood Eagles were a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter and successor of the Blood Angels.

The Blood Eagles were raised during an unknown Founding and destroyed in an unknown event in which they tore themselves apart to produce two Successor Chapters, the Angels Numinous and the Red Seraphs.

Those two Chapters joined with another Blood Angels successor, the Charnel Guard, to form an alliance of Sanguinius' sons known as the "Triarchy."

It was a tradition of representatives of those three Chapters to meet at the abandoned homeworld of the Blood Eagles to determine a course of action that would involve the entire Triarchy.

The Blood Eagles homeworld had been abandoned for at least a generation before the birth of the Great Rift.

Canon Conflict[]

In Warlords of the Dark Millennium: Dante, the Blood Eagles are said to be an alternative name for the Angels Numinous Chapter.

However, the author Aaron Dembski-Bowden's comments on Twitter on November 17, 2019 indicate that the Blood Eagles were either a progenitor Chapter for the Angels Numinous or an entirely separate Chapter that was closely allied with them.
