An Imperial Blind Grenade
A Blind Grenade, also called a Baffler Grenade, is an Imperial grenade that explodes with a burst of dense, dark grey smoke including infrared bafflers and broadband electromagnetic spectrum chaff.
All of this is designed to block eyesight and even advanced visual detection methods like infra-red vision, scanners and targeters are of little use.
The effect is short-lived, but while it lasts it provides an excellent cover for advancing forces.
Blood Ravens Variant[]
A variant of Blind Grenade used by the Blood Ravens Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes releases a bright flash of electromagnetic energy that incapacitates its targets, stunning them for a short duration.
This type of Blind Grenade does not work on vehicles or infantry units that are inside of a building.
