The Ankh of the Triarch, ancient symbol of the Necron Empire
Amaranthite is an unknown mineral used by the Necrons to strengthen the structural integrity of necrodermis, the living metal they use in their own undying bodies and all other vehicles and wargear in their possession.
Amaranthite is used alongside adamantium as part of the Necron defensive technology called a Sempiternal Weave. A Sempiternal Weave threads a Necron's exoskeleton with filaments of phase-hardened amaranthite and adamantium, vastly increasing the body's structural integrity to a level that rivals that of Astartes Terminator Armour.
This technology is only available to Necron royalty, such as Necron Overlords, Necron Lords and Necron Destroyer Lords.
