Altansar was a small Eldar Craftworld that survived the Fall.
History
Seeing the fate that would consume the decadent Eldar race, many farsighted Eldar created Craftworlds to escape the Fall and creation of Slaanesh. Though many of these Craftworlds were destroyed by the psychic shockwave of Slaanesh's birth a few survived. Altansar was one of these Craftworlds but was unfortunately caught in the Eye of Terrors gravity well like Ulthwe. During an expansion of the Eye, Altansar was sucked into the Eye. The Phoenix Lord Maugen Ra was believed to be the sole survivor of the incident
The Thirteenth Crusade
During the Thirteenth Crusade Maugen Ra lead an elite force of Dark Reapers, the Black Guardians, in a search for Altansar. It was during this pilgrimage that he found the Belial hex system, located deep within the Eye of Terror. Towards the end of the Crusade he formed the Ulthwe Strike Force and led them to the crone world of Belial IV. Depsite several early victories and the aid of the Harlequins a Daemonic counterattack forced the Eldar back. As they reeled from the losses the broken Craftworld of Altansar drifted into Belial's orbit. Hundred of pale warriors joined their brethren, defeating the Daemonic forces and helping the Eldar to reclaim the world.
