The carapace-mounted Aiolos Missile Launcher used by Deredeo Pattern Dreadnoughts.
The Aiolos Missile Launcher was a large, carapace-mounted Missile Launcher system that was used by the ancient Deredeo Pattern Dreadnoughts of the Legiones Astartes during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy era.
The Aiolos Missile Launcher featured a highly sophisticated targeting system that was capable of tracking enemy targets independently of the Dreadnought's primary weapons system and regardless of intervening terrain.
The Aiolos is still found in use by the various Space Marine Chapters and possibly the Traitor Legions that still maintain functioning Deredoe Dreadnoughts in the late 41st Millennium.
