Speaking of which... I still need to post my force:
1 Alhendors Du'un
I thought I saw him on Eternal Crusade forums a few months ago... Seemed to fit the bill not only in name but personality but I wasn't so sure.
With all that out the way I need to know right now, has Dan planned anything for the character Du'un (I'd honestly imagined he'd have become and NPC at this rate, given what he knows.)
Unfortunately you actually seem to be putting too much faith in the Humans feeding Chaos, it is the Eldar who have 'fed,' them more than anything else that has existed. Chaos only feeds of mostly Humans now because they're both the largest and least protected source of food.
I, for one think that Nurgle is the oldest because the first bulk emotion that the galaxy saw was despair and pain from the War in Heaven, Tzeentch is likely next as even passively aspiring to do further things feeds him, as he is also god of ambition ect. Slaanesh is obviously the newest so therefore in my logic Khorne is the 2nd youngest.
Sorry for dissapearing on you guys, but sadly I don't think I'll have the time to reply any longer, or at least for the next period of time.
So sorry about that but this is Du'un signing off.
Azrell was confident that he had a slight upper hand, unfortunately he was not indefatigable and would soon grow tired, at which point he would be much easier to defetat.
Raising his hand the Abyssal Sorcerer conjured another black shard, only this time separate from his body, propelling the shard towards the blur at an incredible speed he then generated another one, only this time behind the blur and would use a combination of Divination and reflex to propel it against the foe while he was in motion.
-OOC-
Sorry about that, I've been busy lately. Since I doubt either of us were expecting the other to die could we just say that all this time Azrell has been using divination (due to the reduced blank field) to survive everything the blur has thrown at him thus far?
Either way I'll have a proper post up in a few hours.
although it's mentioned on this wiki that khorne birthed during terra's middle-ages i find that tricky to believe because surely khorne have been in a race with nurgle to be the 1st, what with all the war and violent death that abounded at the time.
i agree with the idea that the fall of the eldar was most likely slaanesh's ascension to full-on god-hood, rather than him being 'born' as an entity.
as for tzeentch, i would think that he ought to be as old as, if not older than, nurgle. maybe he was the very 1st warp entity to attain self-conciousness, and tzeentch being tzeentch he immediatly started scheming which resulted in the old ones attemting to harness warp-space and they ended up breaking it, which allowed daemonkind access to the material-realm.......exactly as tzeentch intended :P
Or... Tzeentch is an ascended collection of Old Ones, and that's where they all dissapeared to.
Correction, Nurgle was born during the War in Heaven...
60,000,000 years ago...
The Dark Lance shots were a wake up call for Azrell, only just managing to dodge the first few beams and in turn save his own life by a thread did he then realise that this thing was dangerous, even to an Abyssal Sorcerer.
He was more prepared for the next few beams, of course he could not move faster than the ammunition himself and was merely tracing the barrel then reacting just before the shot was fired. The final shot was too close to his chest to dodge however, so forcing his arm upwards he instinctively blocked it with the shard, the Dark Lance easily tore through it but the act gave him enough time to get out of the way.
Azrell: "Alright... Play time's over."
The sorcerer felt a pain in his mind as he forced his way through the Blank aura for just long enough to generate a new shard in the place of the one that was lost. The very act was of course difficult and required no small effort. With a smile on his face Azrell raised his arms towards the figure once more.
Azrell: "My turn!"
Lunging forward, Azrell unleashed a seemingly never neding flurry of strikes, slashes, kicks and thrusts towards the figure, knowing full well that there was no guarantee any of the attacks would land. One thing was for sure, given its speed and Azrell's almost natural precognitive battle style, some of the strikes would be close calls.
And I also have another theory which I can't really prove but it's simply a theory that there was no recorded daemonic activity before the Emperor rose to power. It could be possible that the chaos gods needed worshipers to be able to fuel daemons, it should be noted that the chaos gods did know of the Emperor's presence on Terra before the Unification wars, why Daemons did not attack the Emperor or his servants before the Great Crusade is unknown in that case. Like I said that's just a theory I thought about so don't hammer me for it.
I'm not going to hammer that theory, the first paragraph is pretty much implied by this point, however I would like to make a few statements.
While there was no record of standard Daemon activity before the Fall of the Eldar/Birth of Slaanesh, it is heavily implied when looking at figures like Be'lakor and didn't the origional sages pool their souls together to prevent them from being stolen by Daemons? It's no doubt that a Ruinous power needs an intake of power to create a Daemon, but the Chaos Gods can gain a whole lot of power from mortals without the need for worship or even the need to be noticed.
Azrell: "You aren't a normal assassin are you?"
Any Human would've easily been killed before he knew what was going on. Fortunately for Azrell, he was well beyond a standard Human. Twisting his body around the Abyssal Sorcerer contorted to create the most efficient path between his arms and their target positions. However, this shimmer was faster than he thought.
But a few centimetres from its target, the shimmer found its blade deflected by a black shard, it's superior perceptions allowing it to see what even some standard Eldar would not, that being the form of the second shard approaching it from a completely different direction.
With my Psychic powers restrained like this I won't be able to track it's body accurately... This is going to be more trouble than I thought.
Azrell: "I was expecting to be attacked shortly after my departure."
It was easy to detect the nullification aura, almost child's play, finding the source of the aura was another matter entirely.
Azrell: "But I never expected to be ambushed this early."
With great concentration and a minor amount of pain, Azrell managed to temporarily force his way through the Blank field's effects upon his powers. Using this temporary gap he forced two shards of solid black crystal to grow from his arms, each one becoming solid enough to no longer require psychic input.
Azrell: "I must admit, I was not expecting to face a Blank here... So, if you're not here for negotiation..."
The Abyssal Sorcerer instantly went from a relaxed to incredibly aggressive yet graceful stance, one shard held out to each side.
Azrell: "I suggest you do not waste time."
I have a feeling Tzeentch has left their minds in a state of super paranoia. They don't trust anyone but themselves and will always betray after a while.
Sounds like something the Ruinous Powers would enjoy, particularly Tzeentch and Malal.
Azrell: "The ritual is mostly complete, the rest of you can mantain it from here on."
Xarsez: "And where are you going my lord?"
Azrell: "I know what you're going to ask..."
Xarsez: "Not at all, you're anything if not stubborn."
Azrell: "Keep the ritual activated... I'm going for a walk."
Cracking his knuckles, Azrell passed the final two Constructs forming the perimeter and began to head south. Whether it was instinct or some extremely feint precognition that guided him he did not care, after all being an Abyssal Sorcerer both are often blended into one.
Where does it ever show Militarum Tempestus as canonfodder?
They are far more skilled than Guardsmen, I'd probably pick the Stormtrooper over the basic troops of a few other races.
Hellguns and Hot Shot Lasguns are devastating to non-power armoured enemies, as are Lasguns when used correctly.
Carapace Armour is actually pretty durable, just because Power Armour is better does not mean under any circumstances that carapace is a joke.
I don't see what the problem with a very difficult Stormtrooper fps, it would be challenging sure but at least you're superior to a good few enemies such as Renegade Guardsmen or Ork Boys.
Before the first Skittari even knew what was happening, Azrell impaled the half machine with the forms of two Abyssal Shards, watching as the energy wreathed through the construct before throwing the lifeless thing away.
Azrell: "We're in luck."
The other Skittari were alerted to the presence of the intruders, but it was far too late as the rest of them in close proximity were cut down in Bolter fire.
Xarsez: "It appears this area was not as well defended as we though."
Xarsez commented as he tore through the form of another Skiitari before throwing it into another, crushing them both in a weak singularity.
Nel'eth: "Dissapointed?"
Xarsez: "Perhaps, only time will tell. These Skiitari seem well equipped."
Azrell: "Then our suspicion has been confirmed, the Imperials must view this planet with importance, I would not put it past our enemy to realise the same thing."
If one were to observe this from an outsider's point of view, it would almost seem comical. Three sorcerers engaged in calm conversation while butchering thier way through Mechanicus constructs
Azrell: "No matter, the plan goes unchanged... Prepare the ritual."
Nel'eth: "You first Xarsez."
With a sigh, the Astartes used a mixture of perception and Psyniscience to find the place best suitable to begin.
Xarsez: "Here..."
Azrell: "The last of the Skiitari are finished, have the Constructs form a defensive perimiter and the Guardians form around the ritual itself, see to it that any Constructs lost are ressurected before I finish."
Nel'eth: "Yes my lord."
The Abyssal Sorcerer had finished his incantations, the entire room was filled with all 150 constructs, moving into a ready stance in perfect unison.
Azrell: "Any progress in infiltrating the Imperium's communication network?"
Bexx: "Negative, the Adeptus Mechanicus has taken extra precautions, we could attempt to force our way in but such an act will drastically increase, if not guarantee our detection."
Xarsez: "They will likely detect our Warp Jump anyways."
Nel'eth: "True, but they won't be able to decect any precise locations."
Azrell: "Prepare to Warp Jump to the surface."
Bexx: "Activating Warp Coils in 3... 2... 1..."
With a flash of light, the entire room turned from full to completely empty in a matter of seconds. While it was almost certain that the Adeptus Mechanicus and most other factions with scanners would have detected the jump, it was a necessary sacrifice to prevent interference from the ongoing Void war.
