My dad of all people has decided to get into 40k literature and has already read Devastation of Baal and Helsreach and is ravenous for more. Thing is he’s only interested in audiobooks. So what would you recommend for him next?

The entire Horus Heresey of course! Also there are a lot of the short stories on YouTube
You can get almost everything in audiobook these days. So perhaps try some of the self contained stories until your dad is a bit more familiar with it all. The Heresy series is my favourite but it’s a big investment in time and money!
Get the Black Library app. It has every AudioBook/Drama ever made.
Fabius Biles audiobooks are great.
You dont need almost any prior knowledge since it is smaller in scope and it focus on Fabius.
First - Primogenitor.......Second - Clonelord
Also John Banks does fantastic job. His Fabius and Veilwalker are sooo good.
I comitted to the HH and i must say, the book "Know no fear" really had me on the edge of my seat. Wordbearers betraying the ultramarines was really dark.
